The Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) had advertised a recruitment for the posts of Sub- Inspectors in J&K Police. The JKSSB had issued notification advertisement under advertisement no. 02 of 2024. All eligible aspirants must be graduate at the time of submitting online application. Candidates can submit online forms for 669 vacancies through the official website @jkssb.nic.in. The deadline to submit JKP SI Online Form 2024 is over, i.e; 2nd January 2025. Candidates seeking to apply for the Sub Inspector posts shall be domiciles of union territory of Jammu and Kashmir and must posses a valid domicile certificate. JKP SI Exam Pattern:-

Written Examination

• Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions in English.
• Negative Marking: Deduction of 1/4th marks for every incorrect answer.

Bonus Marks for NCC Certificate Holders:

• 5% for NCC “C” Certificate.
• 3% for NCC “B” Certificate.
• 2% for NCC “A” Certificate.

Physical Standard Test

Shortlisting Criteria:

• Candidates are shortlisted based on written exam performance.
• Ratio: Six times the total number of vacancies will be shortlisted.

Physical Standards– For Males:

• Minimum height: 5’-2”Height Relaxation: 2” for:
• Candidates from the Gorkha community.

1. General Candidates

For Male Candidates:

• Long Race: 1600 meters in 6 minutes 30 seconds (6.5 minutes).
• Pushups: 20 cycles (1 cycle = full up and down motion).

For Female Candidates:

• Long Race: 1000 meters in 6 minutes 30 seconds (6.5 minutes).
• Shot Put: Throw a 4 kg shot to a distance of 14.5 feet (3 attempts allowed).

2. Ex-Servicemen Special Provisions

• Relaxed standards are provided for age-based categories:

For Male Ex-Servicemen:

• The physical test age is calculated as of January 1, 2024.

JKP Constable SI Exam Date 2025:-

The Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board has not issued any official notification regarding JKP SI Exam Date 2025. It is expecting that JKSSB will conduct offline written examination (consist of objective type) multiple choice questions in May- June 2025. The questions will be set in English language only.
